A Commitment to Education
In 2015, David and his wife Claire Haasl created the David L. Hoyt Education Foundation with the mission to promote and facilitate play-based and collaborative learning.
Being a game inventor, David found that when you combine education and play, you create a situation where creative thinking and executive function occur naturally. All of David's games allow for children to practice what they know. Students are often encouraged by their own abilities because of the safe environment that David's games provide for peer-to-peer learning.
The David L. Hoyt Education Foundation is engaged with learners in Chicago, throughout the U.S. and Canada, and all the way across the globe in Tanzania, Egypt, India, and Brazil.
